What would a pulmonologist do without a chest X ray!! On 8 November 2024, Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen discovered X-rays. Since then, World Radiography Day is celebrated on the same day every year. It was celebrated by releasing a poster on 8th November 2024 at Rajasthan Hospital – RHL!

Dr Sheetu Singh was invited to speak on severe asthma at Safdurjung Hospital, New Delhi. Around 80 young physicians from across the country attended the event.

Dr Sheetu Singh was a part of formulating the National Thoracoscopy guidelines at New Delhi.

Thoracoscopy is a procedure by which patients with pleural effusion or pneumothorax are treated. An endoscope is inserted through a hole in chest, the fluid in pleural cavity is removed and biopsies are taken. It provides results quickly, helps in early diagnosis and treatment.

Sheetu Singh is an expert interventional pulmonologist with skills in flexible bronchoscopy, rigid bronchoscopy, EBUS and thoracoscopy. The anesthesia team at RHL, Jaipur provides the perfect support system to perform high risk cases as well.

Dainik Navjyoti 10th April 2022. Got felicitated for my research paper which highlighted for the first time the under diagnosis & under treatment of asthma. In this multi center study which we spearheaded, 9 centers including AIIMS, New Delhi, PGI Chandigarh, SGPGI Lucknow, participated. Results showed less 10% asthmatic patients take proper treatment in our country.

We have certain rare lung disease such as pulmonary alveolar proteinosis, LAM, LCH which we aim to diagnose and treat at RHL. In this endeavor, we performed the first whole lung lavage in the state of Rajasthan at RHL, Jaipur few years back.

A family of four who were treated by Dr. Singh. The father, mother, daughter, and grandson all were treated by her. They were on oxygen, particularly the mother required high flows of oxygen and had very bad lung involvement. A month after discharge all walked through her clinic door. A gratifying moment

During the COVID pandemic, there was an extreme shortage of beds. Many patients had to be treated at home. The patients at home were scared and had to be monitored constantly. One such family who all got infected, were treated, motivated, and supported by Dr. Singh. The delighted family after recovery poses with her!

We as doctors work very hard in stressful conditions. Moments like these make it worth the effort. Discharged a Post COVID fibrosis patient who was brought in comatose state, was on ventilator, got extubated, started walking and is on room air!

Dr. Sheetu Singh has a passion to do highly complex cases. This particular patient had a central airway tumor with severe pulmonary hypertension. She not only debulked the tumor but also placed a metallic self-expanding tracheal Y stent. Without this particular surgery, the patient would not have survived.

Mrs Ila Agarwal,59 yrs from Gangapur city, Sawai Madhopur came to RHL Lung center with complaint of breathlessness from last 1 month, after consulting the local doctors with no relief. She was admitted in RHL on 15th July. She underwent medical thoracoscopy and after biopsy, she was diagnosed with Left Side Malignant Pleural Effusion (Metastatic Adenocarcinoma) and hence was treated accordingly by Dr Sheetu Singh. Now she has much relief in symptoms. Her chest intercostal tube has been removed after drain reduced.

A 45 year old lady from Ganganagar visited Dr Sheetu Singh with complaints of shortness of breath and severe cough. Investigations and work up led to the diagnosis of chronic pulmonary thromboembolism with SLE.
